Overview
DentalCare+ is a modern HealthTech platform that connects dentists and patients through a single digital experience.
I designed the complete UI/UX system to simplify appointment booking, treatment tracking, and real-time communication between doctors and patients. The goal was to create a healthcare interface that feels calm, trustworthy, and easy to use across all devices.
The Challenge
Healthcare applications often struggle with complexity and lack of clarity.
In DentalCare+, the main challenge was to balance a professional medical interface with human-centered usability - designing a dashboard that allows both doctors and patients to manage information effortlessly without cognitive overload.
My Design Approach
I started by understanding the real workflows of dentists and patients. After mapping the user journey, I focused on simplifying the navigation and ensuring every action felt intuitive and predictable.
The visual design followed a clean, medical-grade system - soft blues, clear typography, and structured spacing to inspire confidence and comfort. Interactive prototypes were tested with users to refine the appointment flow, treatment overview, and communication modules until everything felt natural.
Design System & Key Highlights
- Design System: Built a modular component system in Figma for consistency and scalability across patient and doctor dashboards.
- Appointment Scheduling: Streamlined the booking flow with smart time-slot visibility and visual confirmations.
- Patient Dashboard: Enabled clear treatment tracking, document uploads, and progress visualization.
- Doctor Workspace: Centralized patient data and real-time chat for seamless communication.
- My Role: End-to-end design including research, wireframes, UI design, and interaction prototyping.
Results
Usability testing showed high task success rates and positive feedback for clarity, speed, and overall experience. Users appreciated the simplicity of booking and the visual comfort of the interface.
Users appreciated the clarity of information, soft visual tone, and mobile-friendly interactions. DentalCare+ now offers a digital experience that feels as reassuring as an in-person consultation.
Reflection
Designing DentalCare+ was about creating empathy through clarity. The process reinforced one key insight - healthcare UX should reduce friction, build trust, and let care take center stage.
